Do you believe in the effects of subliminal perception? The two images below created controversy. Is there any evidence that such images might affect viewers? The company that created the movie responded very negatively to the presence of these images that were embedded in their children's movie and spent millions of dollars recalling the offending copies. They had a good reason to object to these images because they objected to the content. But that is a different issue from whether these images, when seen briefly as part of the movie, would have any effect on behavior.
